PROLOGUE: Dance in Scripture

As you enter the chapel at sunset, from 8.15pm there will be a live 'museum' exhibition where dancers in spotlights around the chapel transform four lines of scripture into movement. Feel free to walk around the chapel as the dancers interpret the spiritual place of dance.

"Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing.”

----

"And David danced before the Lord with all his might. And David was wearing a linen ephod."

----

"But when Herod's birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced before the company and pleased Herod, so that he promised with an oath to give her whatever she might ask. Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter.”"

----

"A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance"
